Breakfast in Italy!

January 31, 2017 No Comments

On our recent trip to Italy, we had many exceptionally creamy cappuccinos and tender flaky cornetti among other tasty breakfast treats.  We also sometimes had focaccia with hardy toppings for breakfast.  Whatever we had it was delicious and incredibly fresh.

I made this coffee in our apartment in Venice and served it with a mildly sweet walnut cookie from the bakery.

A hardy breakfast at Hotel Duomo di Firenze in Florence. Perfect fuel for seeing lots of art.

Breakfast on Piazza Farnese in Rome.

We picked up this delicious sandwich and focaccia for breakfast at a nearby bakery and used an empty Rialto market stall as our table.

Delicious sandwich and focaccia breakfast in Venice.

We enjoyed these little cream filled doughnuts and cornetti with cappuccino several mornings while we were in Rome

The perfect cup.

Apricot jam filled cornetto and cappuccino in Rome at a little cafe near the Coliseum. Yum!

Thick, rich and soothing hot chocolate on a chilly Christmas morning at the Cafe Florian in Venice.

Roz adjusting quite well to the small macchiato cups in Venice.
